IBC
- The Inter Blockchain Communication Protocol makes it possible for your dapp and other blockchains to connect to each other. Built on Cosmos, Side natively integrates IBC so your users can frictionlessly exchange assets and data with other Cosmos-enabled chains.
Cosmos
- Your dapp will be deployed in the Cosmos, also known as the “internet of blockchain”. Cosmos is a decentralized network of independent parallel blockchains, each powered by BFT consensus algorithms like Tendermint consensus. Your dapp will be highly connected.
Tendermint Core
- The Tendermint consensus engine, called Tendermint Core, ensures that the same transactions are recorded on every machine in the same order. The application interface, called the Application BlockChain Interface (ABCI), enables the transactions to be processed in any programming language.
Proof-of-stake
- Side uses Proof-of-stake. A cryptocurrency consensus mechanism for processing transactions and creating new blocks in a blockchain. A consensus mechanism is a method for validating entries into a distributed database and keeping the database secure. Which makes Side and your dapp fast and low cost.
CosmWasm
- CosmWasm is a library providing all modular code needed for building your dapp. The cosmwasm-template contains a starter pack to quickly set up a minimal contract along with build system and unit tests, so you can start writing custom logic directly. Making your dapp robust, secure, and multichain.
Cosmos SDK
- The Cosmos SDK is an open-source framework for building multi-asset public Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchains. Like the Cosmos Hub, as well as permissioned Proof-of-Authority (PoA) blockchains. Blockchains built with the Cosmos SDK are generally referred to as application-specific blockchain
